About the Role
As an entry-level fire sprinkler apprentice, you will be working under the direction and guidance of experienced fire sprinkler fitters and your daily responsibility is to assist them in fitting various types of piping in both commercial and residential buildings. This is an opportunity for individuals to be the primary support on the job sites where needed whilst achieving the skills to become an experienced apprentice and eventually a licensed fitter. You will develop a broad understanding of the fire sprinkler industry including proper install, maintenance and service.
Duties include and are not limited to:
Assist with layout and assembly in order to execute fire sprinkler design plans
Assist with measuring, cutting, digging and installing
Use hand and power tools
Cut and thread pipe
Learn current industry standards and new technologies
Learn compliance with all company and state/federal safety standards, regulations, and procedures
Perform work in an efficient and organized manner
Communicate in a professional manner and provide excellent customer service
Display professional appearance and act as company representative
Job Requirements
Have a valid drivers license
At least 18 years old and able to work in US
Can pass drug test
Able to read tape measure
Can lift 100 lbs. minimally, repeatedly
Can climb ladders and scaffolds
Able to stand for at least 8 hours
