About the Role
As an experienced fire sprinkler apprentice, your daily responsibility is to assist fire sprinkler fitters in cutting and fitting various types of piping in both commercial and residential buildings. We pride ourselves in providing top-level service to our clients, so precision and accuracy are especially important in this role as candidate prepares material for proper install by fitter. Position requires a considerable knowledge in installing, testing, repairing, and performing maintenance on a fire sprinkler system. We expect all our experienced apprentices to continue learning and mastering each aspect of fire sprinkler systems and codes so that they can move into a licensed fitter position.
Duties include and are not limited to:
Preform layout and installation in order to execute fire sprinkler design plans
Assist sprinkler fitters with measuring, cutting, and installing
Use hand and power tools
Cut and thread pipe
Maintain knowledge of current industry standards and new technologies
Maintain compliance with all company and state/federal safety standards, regulations, and procedures
Perform work in an efficient and organized manner
Communicate in a professional manner and provide excellent customer service
Display professional appearance and act as company representative
Job Requirements
4-5 years experience
Have a valid drivers license
At least 18 years old and able to work in US
Can pass drug test
Able to read tape measure
Can lift 100 lbs. minimally, repeatedly
Working knowledge of various types of Sprinkler Systems
Working knowledge of NFPA codes and standards
Read and understand fire sprinkler drawings and blueprints.
Can climb ladders and scaffolds
Able to stand for at least 8 hours
